There are certain requirements to pass the New York real estate exam, including taking at least 75 hours of pre-licensing classes. A criminal conviction on your record could disqualify you from taking the exam, but it will likely prevent you from being denied your license if you fail to disclose it. A pre-licensing class covers topics such as transaction requirements, real estate laws, and how to conduct yourself around clients.

Pre-licensing classes should be attended at least eight hours a week. It is essential to know the laws and legal concepts to be familiar with during the real estate exam. You should also make sure to practice answering practice tests to reinforce what you learned in the class. It is important to remember that you should not duplicate your application. Duplication can cause you to pay twice, which is not ideal.

In order to take the real estate exam, you need to complete at least 75 hours of real estate classes, but they do not have to be classroom-based. Online courses are the fastest way to burn through the 75 hours of education required. In person courses tend to take a longer time since the schedule of each course is predetermined. If you’re interested in taking an online course, you’ll probably want to consider taking one of the many Real Estate Express classes.

To pass the real estate exam, you must be at least eighteen years old and have attained a high school diploma. You must pass a background check and submit fingerprints. In addition to completing your pre-license education, you also have to complete a post-licensing education course. You also need to take continuing education courses every two years. If you pass the exam, you’ll be able to start practicing real estate.
